i-line-her

I feel like if I put on dark lipstick and eye makeup I look like I should be working the street corner. Some people can pull it off...I'm just not one of them. So for days that I want to make my eyes stand out more I play down my lips and add eyeliner to both my top and bottom lashes.  Eyeliner is  extremely important so don't skip this step if you are looking to play up your eyes. During the work week I usually don't use eyeliner because I keep things pretty low maintenance (yeah...I'm sure you all believe me when I say I'm low maintenance) Please just don't be scared of putting eyeliner on. Trust me, I could never be a surgeon my hands shake when I try to put eyeliner on and I always screw things up but that's why cutips are heaven sent. They even have cutips with makeup remover on one of the tips- genius whoever thought of that! Let me make you chicas aware, though, that I hate pencil type eyeliners. I am completely sold on gel based eyeliners- they glide on better, stay on better, look better- hell, they are just better. Stop wasting your money on pencil eyeliner. So, if you're still with me, here are my faves and once again I have tested a million eyeliners...

Bobbi Brown- Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner Caviar Ink $21.00 So Bobbi has a Jet Black color (which I usually would choose) but for some reason my brown eyes stand out more with the Caviar Ink which is a deep brownish/black that essentially looks black. This stuff glides on like a dream. Seriously, I barely screw up with this stuff and it dries and doesn't smudge. You do have to own a eyeliner brush please don't try putting this stuff on with anything else. It doesn't have to be Bobbi Brown's eyeliner brush (although I highly recommend it) but any eyeliner brush will do- I like short ones I feel like you have better control. This little pot will last you a super long time too. If you are contemplating getting a gel eyeliner stop looking and buy this one!

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner (Stingray ) Color CosmeticsStila- Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner $20.00 No matter how I try to convince some of my friends about the amazing-ness of gel eyeliners there are just those few that refuse to use eyeliner brushes and need it in a stick. This stuff is perfect if that describes you. It's still a gel and glides on heavenly but it's one step-super simple. This isn't the best stuff if you want Taylor Swift wings- the gel eyeliner with the brush works much better for that. Still I am obsessed with how easy this is to put on (shaky hands and all) and how it lasts. This stuff is pretty freaking ah-mazing. I like the color Stingray and Moray- such great colors and most importantly such cute names!

Lancome Artliner Eye-liner (Noir)Lancome- Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner $29.00 So it's been a few posts since I blogged about my first true love- Lancome. Lancome has my heart once again, this is the best liquid eyeliner on this planet. Yes, I've tried them all. If you don't like gel and are leaning towards liquid this will become a staple in your makeup bag. Again, if you want the winged look this stuff is perfect for that too. It's easy to apply, it lasts, and the colors are rich and beautiful! Buy it when they have one of their bonus buys and you will get some free goodies while you're at it!

These are the only eyeliners that I swear by. They are easy to apply, look great, and most importantly don't rub off (even in the south Florida sweat dripping beyond hot ridiculously humid nights)

xx
