There are a few makeup items that I couldn't live without. This is my number
one...and by now you are starting to realize the insane amount of stuff I've actually tried. I've been using this stuff religiously since I was in college. I have been so loyal to it that it seriously has prevented me from trying any other concealer. Like they say if it ain't broke don't fix it. I did try Cleau de Peau's infamous ($90...are you f'ing serious??!!!) concealer expecting it to blow me out of the water but nope sticking to my old (and waaaaaay cheaper) fave. So, I'm not the biggest MAC fan mainly when it comes to foundation because I think a lot of it is stage makeup and a therefore a bit too thick for everyday use. I'm more into enhancing the natural me not caking stuff on my face to look like someone else. That being said, when it comes to concealer they have it all figured out.
MAC- Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer
$17 This little pot lasts me about half a year. Seriously, you don't need much of this stuff. It's lightweight, waterproof and therefore long-wearing- essentially, perfect. Make

sure you only dab a little on (this stuff is MAC...so it has the potential of looking cakey if you overdo it) I just use my finger, I'm not fancy enough to work with a concealer brush. If you are, go for it. This stuff is
excellent for dark circles too. If I stayed up a little late and look like hell in the morning I will use this and then put a dab of Benefit's Erase Paste on top and I instantly look human again. Seriously, MAC has a ridiculous amount of shades to chose from that you will find your perfect skin matching little concealer pot. Once you try this stuff you will be pissed you wasted your money on anything else. Just go to your MAC store or a department store (you'll be able to find the MAC section just follow the nightclub music and you'll spot it) that carries it and the girls (or in many cases guys) will gladly help you find the perfect shade for you. Also MAC has a great recycling program called Back to MAC where once you go through 6 of their products (don't think it's impossible...yes, I show up with
six of the same concealer pots) you will receive a free lipstick of your choice! Which I will blog about their lipstick's sometime....they seriously have amazing colors!
Hope you enjoy this old school staple...as long as they keep making it I will continue to be loyal to it.
xx

I can't even tell you how many years I've had my pot of Mac concealer and I use it all the time! Now that I think about I might have to go out and buy a new one. Isn't there some rule on how long you're supposed to keep makeup?
ReplyDeleteHa! I think this was a Kappa staple! I haven't checked the expiration date of this stuff but seriously I would use a 10 year old pot if that's all I had! If you ever want to see how long you should use a product for usually on the bottom you will see a number like 6M- which means 6 months after it's been opened! If it doesn't have a number I'm not sure if that means it doesn't expire...
