It's monsooning. Welcome to Florida (no, it's not always sunny in the sunshine state) and while we're at it happy freakin Monday. So today I am barely putting anything on my face. I'd rather have a naked face than look like Alice Cooper. This made me think of my favorite make up removers out there. This is critically important. You don't want to go to bed with make up on- your skin (and your pillow cases) will look like crap. I don't think you need to purchase expensive make up removers- save your money for other stuff. I have two favorite eye make up removers and two face make up removers. However, I don't think you need a face makeup remover necessarily if you have a good face wash.
Almay-Oil-Free Makeup Remover Pads
$4.99 First I like that it's oil free. The only oil I want on my face is Argan oil. I am lazy. I love that the makeup remover is already in it's own individual little pad...makes life so much easier. If you're someone who goes to bed with a full set of lashes on this might be ideal for you. It's so freakin easy that you wont mind doing it. This stuff removes my waterproof mascara too. Also, you don't want to tug too hard around the eye areas....supposedly that can loosen the skin area and cause wrinkles. So buy this stuff (make sure you get the oil free version there are two versions out there) and take care of those peepers!!
Almay Oil-free Makeup Remover Pads, 3.5 Ounce
Neutrogena- Eye Makeup Remover Oil Free
$5.00 Again, oil free. Some of you might have tried the Lancome Bi Facial Eye Makeup Remover (which you
all know my love for Lancome) and know that

stuff works and is amazing. Well this is similar to it and doesn't cost you $20 plus dollars! Honestly, I don't see the point in buying anything (regarding eye makeup remover) you can't get at the drug store. They are so similar to the

expensive brands and most importantly WORK. This takes an extra step...you have to put it on a cotton pad. Sounds simple enough but when you are so ready to hit the sheets that might be waaaaay too much work. So if that sounds awfully familiar to you get the Almay pads like yours truly.

Urban Decay- Clean & Sober Oil Free Makeup Remover
$18.00

Ok. How ah-mazing is this name! The name alone motivated me to remove my makeup before going to bed (hoping when I wake up in the AM I'm exactly that...clean and sober) This is great to have in the shower too! Love this product not just because it was brilliantly marketed, but because it truly works. This stuff smells great too....it's made with "soothing botanicals" and has a lavender like calming smell. If you're looking for more of a face wash type makeup remover this is the product of choice! I usually buy this at Ulta or Sephora.
Urban Decay Clean & Sober Oil-Free Makeup Remover 3.4 oz
Mario Badescu- Enzyme Cleansing Ge
l $12 for the 6 oz and $20 for the 16 oz This isn't technically sold as a make up remover but this is the best face wash ever- it removes even waterproof mascara! I bought a small sample of it at Ulta and am now obsessed with it! It also has Alpha Hydroxy Acids in it that help with buildup and preventing blackheads (they make your skin less dull-like) This cleanser doesn't foam but that doesn't matter it works and it smells amazing! Seriously, this cleansing gel is worth the money it's kinda of an all-in-one! Great to keep in the shower too! So if all you can handle is one step before hitting the sheets-get this stuff! You will remove all your makeup and have a sparkling clean face! Get this gem at Ulta, Nordstroms, or Amazon!
Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel (8.0 oz)
So I had a dilema a few days ago...I was out of
alllllll my make up removing products. Don't know how I managed that faux pas. So thankfully a friend of mine recently told me that you can use baby oil on a cotton pad to remove your eye makeup! Thank God for that! Although I don't recommend using baby oil everyday since it has Mineral Oil in it which is that cheap filler I talked about earlier. If you were in a state of desperation like I was it is a good alternative until you stock up again!
Clearly, I have been avoiding starting my dreaded Monday morning since I have to step into a torrential downpour that no industrial umbrella will prevent you from looking like a drowned rat...but I guess it's time to head out.
Hope your Monday's are off to a better start than mine!
xx
