So in a past life I used to think glitter on my face made me look hot. I look back at pictures of me and my friends with thick purple glitter around our eyes (we did it to show school pride...nothing like purple glitter to show you're proud to be a "pioneer") and I'm slightly mortified. Unfortunately, at the time, that was the in thing to do and in my warped teenage brain I thought it enhanced my features, or something like that. Anyways, the best glitter available at the time was made by a brand named Hard Candy which I thought had become extinct. I drive a lot for my (real) job and my work can take me to some pretty small towns where Wal Mart is about as exciting as it gets. Which, actually is a pretty entertaining place. Seriously, check this blog out if you're bored
http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/ While walking through the product aisles (obviously the only place I go there) I remembered a friend of mine saying Wal Mart carried Hard Candy...and lo and behold it was like seeing a long lost friend. My heart filled of excitement and my mind started coming up with a million questions. First of all why the hell is it at Wal Mart? Where has it been all these years? Does the packaging still look the same? Do they still carry glitter? Well, my friends, it's changed quite a bit just like I have since those glory days. I succumbed to purchasing one product just to test it out and I am actually pretty damn excited about it!
Hard Candy- Baked Blush in Honeymoon Peach $7.00 I know it claims to be a blush but the way I like to use it is on top of my usual blush color as kind of a dewy/shimmer look. It's a bit too sheer to be a blush alone. This stuff is ah-mazing especially for that price! It actually, if I dare say it, reminds me of the cult beauty staple Orgasm by Nars (which you all know I am obsessed with) It leaves a very sheer color and gives your cheekbones that extra healthy beautiful glow you're searching for. Honestly, go buy this stuff! I have a medium skintone and this color is perfect for me. There are a bunch of colors to choose from so go for a bit of a lighter or pinker color if your skin is more on the fair side. It's $7.00 you will not regret spending! Thanks, Wal Mart for putting one of my first loves back on the shelves!
Hope you chicas are having a fabulous weekend!
xx
