I'm still cross-eyed from one too many kettle one and soda's last night (sorry mom) but it made me so happy to wake up and realize I didn't forget to wash my face! I have been psycho about having a clean face before hitting the sheets for as long as I can remember. So what are my favorite face washes? Well I have four....
Dermalogica- Special Cleansing Gel
It smells amazing and leaves my face feeling extremely clean! Best part is that it doesn't
contain any artificial fragrance or colors! I like using this one after working out, just
has that really clean feel to it. It's good for all skin types.
2. Dermalogica- Tri Active Clean
Disclaimer: not so good smelling...BUT...I believe it doesn't smell so good because it's actually working. It's not a gel (which I tend to prefer) but it's creamy and lathers well. This one has a lot of exceptions to what I like in my cleansers and still has become my fave cleanser...so trust me on this one.
Just ignore the smell (it's really not that bad...I'm just picky) because this is a great face wash to even out your skin tone. Most of us have a little sun damage (seriously I had no clue what SPF was when I laid outside drenched in baby oil) or some acne scars and with regular use you will see great results! If you have a lot of sun damage and deep acne scars go see your local dermatologist, they can do wonders for your skin!
This stuff is awesome! It reminds me a bit of the Dermalogica cleansing gel. It gives you an extremely clean feeling and preps your face to absorb whatever serum or moisturizer you will follow with. I like to follow with a Vitamin C serum (that will be another blog) Obagi wants you to use their entire product line which I have heard can leave your skin looking ah-mazing. To order the entire product line contact a physician who sells the stuff and have them look at your skin they will recommend which products are best for your skin type. Go to www.obagi.com and click on "Find Obagi Near You" to find the closest location! Do it...
4. Clean and Clear- Continuous Control Acne Cleanser
Yes, people. I still get zits. I thought once I turned 20 and was no longer a teenager I would be immune to zits but I still go to CVS and buy this stuff. For acne I think Benzoyl Peroxide face washes work better than Salicylic Acid washes. This stuff has been a staple in my bathroom for as long as I can remember. It's cheap and it works! It has the highest amount of Benzoyl allowed OTC which is 10%. Everytime I use it the smell takes me back to my days at Michigan State...
I've tried out tons of face washes throughout the years from La Mer to drying bars of soap and these are hands down my favorite!
I just took an Advil and pounded a coconut water as I'm tucked back in bed to nurse this hangover (with a clean face though!!)
You only have one face- treat it well por favor!
